As a special agent and a supervisory special agent, Mr. Bryant routinely consulted and assisted numerous international, national, state, and local law enforcement agencies, prosecutors’ offices, attorneys and private industry on issues involving human behavior and the elicitation of information. Aside from responsibilities within his agency, he was frequently requested and designated to assist in the most sensitive and critical investigations, often conducting interviews concerning national security and high-profile criminal matters.
In conjunction with his agency’s Office of Training and Professional Development, he was responsible for design, development and implementation of training and educational curricula addressing all investigative interviewing needs of his agency and its law enforcement and private sector partners. Mr. Bryant fostered partnerships with the world’s leading experts in areas of psychology, human behavior, deception detection, false confessions, and elicitation of investigative and intelligence information necessary to facilitate development of one of the most innovative and progressive methods of interviewing known. He was recognized and rewarded for his efforts with receipt of his agency’s distinguished service award.
Since retiring from federal service, Mr. Bryant has accepted a position with the 112th Judicial District Attorney of Texas as a special investigator assigned to a capital litigation case. Additionally, he holds a Master Peace Officer’s License and Instructor Certificate with the Texas Commission of Law Enforcement (TCOLE) and a Polygraph Examiner’s License with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
Mr. Bryant holds distinctions of being a Certified Criminal Investigator® and a Certified Forensic Consultant®. He graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and from University of Wisconsin with a Masters of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Currently, he also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Abilene Christian University (ACU) in the Political Science and Criminal Justice Department.
